Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. While growing up, she listened to many traditional music as well as old Boleros. They also played the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well as opera and other dramatic types. She started singing and studying musical instruments with her mother she began her more intensive singing training at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. It was at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was part of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. She was part of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist performing traditional Latin American music at private concerts. Passion and enthusiasm for performing, painting, as well as performing, keeps her active in numerous local organizations as a performer, teacher, and instructor. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege being able be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to help keep the traditional music alive.
